STATEMENT ON AI
A statement by Megan Linski on the use of artifical intelligence.

Megan Linski does not use AI (artificial intelligence) in order to write chapters or generate content for her books, nor does she use AI in her advertising. The entire content of her books are written by her and associated human co-authors alone, and her advertising is human-created. Each of her book covers is designed by a human being without using AI software, and all of her audiobooks are narrated by a real human person, without the use of AI narration.

Megan's books were stolen in order to generate content for AI programs. Lawsuits and settlements for these violations are currently pending, however, if her content seems similar to AI, it is because dozens of her novels were stolen, used, and uploaded to create these AI book generation programs. The AI programs are copying and stealing her work to mimic and imitate her art; not the other way around. She is currently not using AI herself to write her books, and never will.

Megan is committed to upholding these standards. She is willing to correct any issues that may arise through third parties or contractors that she hires which use AI without her knowledge or consent within the Megan Linski brand.
Some corporations, companies and retailers require authors to consent to AI use through the agreement of their terms and conditions in order to host and sell books on their platforms. As such, Megan is not able to opt out of all AI programs; however, she feels morally bound to avoid generative AI as much as she is able to within the industry.

A gentle reminder; accusing authors of using AI to generate novels, covers and narration can be extremely harmful, and should be avoided without clear evidence and/or proof. Thousands of authors have had their work stolen and used to create these AI programs, and as such, their work may appear to mimic AI, when in all reality, AI is imitating them. For an author, a false accusation of AI use can destroy their careers and livelihood. Please be kind and try to believe the best in others, until proven otherwise.
